Oread

As with other genasi, the Oread are humanoids wrought of the raw elemental power of the moon Tethys This can take the form of being born on or under the influence of the moon, living there long enough to become ingrained in the element, or undergoing a process to leash the element with the individual's body. The element of Earth is well known for its stable properties, taking a lot of energy to morph its form. As such, the most common Oreads were born on Tethys, with the requirement of being conceieved on Tethys due to the incredibly minute speed Earth takes to become entwined with an individual. One can spend centuries on Tethys and not be transformed. Those that are paticularly adamant about becoming Oreads go to the Dao for the ritual, forming the majority of unnatural genasi. Oread are the least common type of genasi as a consequence.     The only creatures that cannot be imbued with elemental power are those already claimed by another element. A Sylph cannot become an Oread no matter how long they stay on Tethys. A red dragon will not lose its fire affinity if it undergoes the ritual. A Xorn is already made of Tethys, and thus cannot be classified as an Oread.
