Hurvan ek Fala

Born of creatures of the water and sea, Hurvan ek Fala believes himself to have been made as an emissary of the tempests, the natural disasters wrought of the wind and rain and sea. He is a strong, powerful man on his own, but with the gifted power of a mysterious god he becomes a force of nature, rolling its way inland in an attempt to wash away the wrongs of the world like a cleansing tidal wave of steel and lightning.

Physical Description

Body Features

Hurvan is a huge, muscular man, with a skin like a white human's, with distinct blueish undertones to his flesh. As opposed to body hair, tiny scales of blue and green dot his flesh, from his legs to his chest and arms in a spotty manner.

Facial Features

Hurvan's face is wide, with a small nose, large lips, and a high forehead. on his cheeks, much like the stubble of a beard, scales of blue and green sit where facial hair would otherwise. His eyes are huge, and are completely black, just like a shark's. His ears are small and rounded just like his human parent.

Identifying Characteristics

Across the sleeve of his uncovered left arm, a roiling storm or dark clouds intermingled with bolts of lightning. Hidden among the clouds, there appears to be faces shouting out. He casts his spells through his left hand, his tempest hand.

Specialized Equipment

The greatsword Hurvan wields is part of a much larger blade, one he claims must've been a giant's blade, but is broken in the middle at an ugly angle. The hauberk he wears is covered by a white and green cloth, with a coat of arms of a green dragon atop a white tower on a green hill emblazoned upon the chest.

Personal history

Hurvan was born the bastard son of a female marid and a human wizard, a passionate summer romance that conceived the water genasi boy. However, due to the careless nature of marids, Hurvan was left with the father. This didn't last long, as a teleportation accident scattered his coastal tower to random locations across the world. One chunk found the ocean, with the youngster lost over the precarious mouth of a black trench. Fortunately, a mermaid druid, recently widowed with a child of her own, took the wayward genasi into her care and raised him.   This childhood was not a peaceful one, with the small family having to fend off the monsters of the water, keeping a home in shallow water. As the years passed, Hurvan found he favored the surface world to the ocean, and spent much of his time wandering the craggy coasts. His martial prowess was useful not only in the water, but just as much on land. As he came into age, he started a relationship with his foster sister, and they began an on and off romance as they both explored the world, one on land, one in water.   It was when they met for one of their trists, at the abandoned fishing hut they called their meeting spot that disaster struck. A hurricane unlike any seen for many years hammered the coast with unbridled fury. The couple stayed in the shelter, hoping the waves wouldn't reach up and pull them into sea, dashing them across the rocks and reef. Their hopes were in vain, as relentless waves eventually pulled the hut into the surf. Among the churning debris, they cried out for help.   Hurvan was saved from the storm, and awoke beaten but alive on the shore, the storm's eye hanging above him, but he was alone. Whatever had saved him had left him alone. As the second wall of the storm moved in, Hurvan was so overcome by the strength and might of the tempest that he prostrated himself, praying aloud. He took the second wave of the storm as a worshiper before a god, and felt a certain enlightenment as he suffered the wind, rain and lightning.   He continued to pray to his nameless god, moving along the coast land, pondering over the natural force of the Tempest. He began to call his god "The Tempest," and was undoubtedly blessed, for over the course of years of meditations, began to channel the power of the storm he survived.   He brought his faith into the rest of the world, bringing his idea of cleansing fury to the wicked places of the world, wielding a great chunk of sharpened iron. He found a hauberk of a deceased nobleman on a battlefield, and took what he could before anyone came looking for the body.   But his adventures only begin from here. . .

Religious Views

Worship and reverence easily run hand in hand with terror and awe of the beings of the Tempest. A certain level of respect is required to be imbued to the natural forces of the world, but some fall to their knees in quaking worship of these forces. This is the religious view of Hurvan, who while in the throes of a hurricane, found himself humbled, and miraculously saved by something within it. He theorizes it could be a storm giant, or a bronze dragon perhaps, but he also believes it could've been the Gods of Fury. Whichever source, he has been granted a shred of this divine power for his worship, and he brings the strength of the storm with him.

Social Aptitude

Socially, Hurvan struggles. He couldn't be considered unbearable by any stretch, but his time in isolation, coupled with the strange world that the surface world is leaves his communication ability wanting. He tries, and puts himself forward as amiably as possible, and while his temper is long, once lost it's irreversible. However, simple awkwardness is not a crime, and only leaves Hurvan feeling sheepish by the end.

Speech

Hurvan speaks with a ~Romanian~ accent, which is a lighter, more friendly style of the Slavic tone. He sometimes talks too fast for his own good, and stutters, or abruptly pauses, smiles, and then continues randomly.
