I've said it before, but one of my worldbuilding weaknesses is integrating religion into the everyday life of the inhabitants of the world.
The gods are real, but rarely interact directly. They mostly use mortals as conduits or pawns, communicating with them mostly through signs, portents, dreams, and other esoteric, ambiguous ways.
There are shrines to the gods all over, some large, but most are small, and since there are hundreds of deities, there isn't really a "Church of All Gods".
So my question is this: "What kind of religious sects/flavors would likely emerge from such a setup?"
