Spirit loas are Scarterrans born with the ability to perceive and ghosts and the honored dead. Most impressively, they can invite willing possession from dead souls in order to gain access to the skills and knowledge of the decease .
Spirit loas are rare in general. Most spirit loas are self-taught, and many are socially awkward loners. It's rare for spirit loas to seek out the company of their own kind, so large gatherings of spirit loas in one place are all but unheard of.
It was recently discovered (or possibly rediscovered?) that if a group of loas are gathered in one place, their collective channeling power will be temporarily increased.
As of yet, this natural law is mostly unknown except for the political and religious leaders of land of Fumaya. Fumaya has lots of problems right now, but some are hoping that they can profit from getting in on the ground floor on what is likely to be a massive growth in organized loa associations, the first is likely to form in the Tapukeah Gedalia Mera Bishopric.

Manifestation
For every five loas that are within line of sight of each other or for every ten loas within a mile of each other, the spirit loas receive a bonus die for every loa based channeling roll.
The upper ceiling of this power boost is unknown, there is no recorded instance of more than 22 loas gathering in one place.
Localization
Spirit loas in a group will only be able to have their power enhanced if there is not a serious concentration of necromantic energy in the vicinity and if the spirit loas in the group feel relatively calm and at peace.
Ghost Magnets
Ghosts can automatically tell spirit loas apart from the general population of the living and even a single loa can end up unwittingly attracting a lot of ghosts. A gathering of loas will attract many ghosts, and will be easy to track for any spell-caster able to perceive ghosts.
