Cambrie the spirit loa
Cambrie was a Swynfaredian musician and a spirit loa. After surviving horrific treatment on the hands of Swynfaredian Dragonbloods, he has renounced his Swynfaredian citizenship and sworn fealty directly to King Henryk figuring the enemy of my enemy is my friend....or in this case my new liege.
He is currently in the city of King's Lake, but he is plotting with Spymaster Ralnor to reenter Swynfaredia later to spy on behalf of his new king.

Cambrie is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, made all the more potent by his well controlled spirit loa abilities.

Personal history
Cambrie was a son of a two traveling musicians, and he followed in his parents' footsteps, going off on his own at a relatively young age.
He ddin't lean heavily into his identity as a spirit loa. He considered himself a musician first and a loa second. He spent most of his time as a solo musician, and his loa abilities and ghost friends helped him out of a few dangerous situations that he ran into as a solo musician traveling by himself.
Then he got kidnapped by House Selwyth agents seeking to engage in malefic experiments on spirit loas, and they were able to nab him with a fake music gig.
After being rescued by Kormatin and company, he traveled with the other rescued loas was among the few loas who had zero interest in going home, so he swore fealty to King Henryk at the first opportunity. He now wants payback against House Selwyth and the Kingdom of Swynfaredia in general.

Motivation
In a broad sense, he wants revenge against those who wronged him.
More specifically, he wants to make sure that the abuses he and the other loas suffered never happens again. When he asked an oracle how to do this, this is what he was told.
There are three copies of “The Magic of Loas, a Research Study” written by Rhaewen ap Selwyth. Kormatin has one. See that no more copies are made.
Kormatin allowed him to destroy the copy he captured, and now he is conspiring with Kormatin and Spymaster Ralnor to find and destroy the other two. Ralnor has made the educated guess that is one is Lady Raewen's Bag of Holding and the other is in their main library or vault in County of Selwyth.
Kormatin is plotting an attack/rescue operation in the County Selwyth anyway, so Cambrie is keeping in contact with Kormatin for this purpose.
