Freefolk

Named for their liberation and freedom from Great Haven, The Freefolk are the homunculi who reside in the land of Pardisio.
The Freefolk are known for their knack for adapting cultures of other races and implementing them into their own. Cities such as Dour Shore will represent four or five cultural differences within just an hour-long walk. Poorer areas will have houses of clay and wood. In the wealthier areas, homunculus have learned to forge bricks from clay and will make entire houses from them or perhaps mix volcanic ash with seawater to make concrete.
This is just an example of the Freefolks' ability to learn and adapt.

Culture

Common Dress code

Women enjoy a wide arrange of clothing. Those of high birth or those attending a ceremony will wear long flowing dresses, corsets, petticoats with a hoop cage. Highborn women often have long nails and powdered faces. Other clothes worn may be cotehardies, surcoats, and bliauts for women. Elaborate headdresses are also worn. Women in current time have a pension for the colors of gold, purple, red, and green. Dressing down may involve a bodice, Hobble skirts. If outdoor work or adventuring calls for something more flexible a simple blouse with trousers combo may be worn.
Men's formal clothes are often a three-piece attire involving trousers, a button-up shirt, and a coat. Styles and shape may vary though they all have this commonality. Additionally, men may be seen wearing doublets, cloaks, capes, or robes. Casual wear can be a vest, shirt and trousers combination. Some combination of a hat, coat, and trousers. If outdoor work or hard labor is needed. Men may simply wear a shirt and breeches.
Lower born wear browns, greens, greys, and black. Tunics, cloaks, trousers, and dresses made of burlap, hemp, or fur. This is regardless of sex.

Art & Architecture

Over time, the Freefolk have learned a great deal from the other races and brought it back to teach fellow homunculi. Art, construction, culture, magic, and engineering are all a mixing bowl of concepts and ideas from other cultures to make a blend that is very much its own thing. Buildings can range from wood and clay huts to metal towers. Art in homunculi culture is often mixed media of art, magic, and technology. Statues may shoot water using pumps and suction yet be magically enchanted to help scoop water from the fountain for those who need it.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

An individual who has imprinted a unique trait is known to be of note and topic. Some may pursue said individual as a means to acquire the trait themselves. Beauty comes from unique concepts and ideas in a traditional manner. It is important to stand out while still fitting within societal norms.

Gender Ideals

Gender ideas are not unique or as exotic as some of the other races. The women will more often take on more feminine practices while the males will take on masculine roles. Considering their nature to change shape to a limited degree, those who do not conform to these are not ostracized but are seen as a motley addition to society.

Courtship Ideals

As a people, they tend to be more attracted to those with experience and personality. Though Homunculi often do find distinct features in others particularly alluring. Courtship can be in a great many ways. Either meeting a stranger in a bar, the family knowing another family with someone of the opposite sex available, there is no specific way in which Freefolk meet their partners or establish long relationships.

Relationship Ideals

Relationships are meant to be for life but this is not always the case. When having relations with the other races such as orcs and fae, the relationship may be temporary if not only for a single night. Otherwise, the conjugal family is a common concept in homunculi culture.
