Half-Elf
The result of the union of any Elf and another of the mortal races, to say that Half-Elves belong in neither community would be selling them short. While most can trace their lineage back to a Human ancestor, this is by no means always the case: A Half-Elf with Goblin ancestry is certainly not out of the question. However, those with both Elven and Orcish ancestry often doubt on what term to call themselves between this and Half-Orc: communities often leave it up to the individual themselves on which of the two they introduce themselves as. Often, the individual feel a deeper connection to one side of their blood: The trademark Orcish rage tends to reign strong, but so does the Elves' icy calm. Half-Elves are mostly found in Human settlements, and are mostly seen in higher populated areas like cities.
The Best of Both Worlds
In terms of innate abilities, Half-Elves often inherit some of both parents' talents. For example: a Half-Elf with Human blood will often have a knack for crafting and general artistry, but also find themselves to be a decently talented archer due to their Woof-Elf ancestry. However, as is a half-blood's fate, they will never fully master either skill to the degree of a full-blooded Human of Wood Elf. However, this mix of skills often make them respected specialists in their fields, and often allow them to contribute to an adventuring party in more than one way. Often, they will live longer due to their Elven ancestry, but do not grow as old as full-blooded Elves.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
