Amazonite Dwarf

A subset of Dwarves living in the Underground, the Amazonite Dwarves chose a life in the Underground instead of on Mount Trenboral during the Age of Upheaval. Many of their kin can trace their heritage back to the union between a Dark Elf and a Dwarf. However, an Amazonite Dwarf with Orcish or Goblin heritage is also not uncommon. And over time and over many generations, this subset of Dwarves have developed a significantly different appearance to their surface cousins: Amazonite Dwarven hair ranges from black to silver, and their skintones range from either purple to blue, or from green to grey.

More than just appearances

Amazonite Dwarves are always eager to learn, and often found themselves adopting the culture of the society that they grew up in. For example: An Amazonite Dwarf growing up in the Goblin Clans will often follow their traditions of putting out two extra plates for guests, and an Amazonite Dwarf in a Dark Elf society will follow their tradition of using a language of coin placement for courting. They also are the only Dwarves who prove to have some talent for mining: while they cannot master the craft to the same degree as a Goblin, it's not uncommon to see them working as apprentices in the Underground's many mines and quarries. While Goblins seem to be able to sense the ores beneath the stones at times, an Amazonite Dwarf can only learn of the craft. An Amazonite Dwarf does naturally seem to have a more silent step than their cousins from Trenboral Peaks, though: many of their kind holds potential as Rogues, as those who pursued this adventurer class in the past often studied under Dark Elf mentors. Over many generations, this talent has only developed further.
