Aether Winds

Aether Winds are a natural phenomenon of the world of Saxum. These are magical and invisible winds of raw magical energies that appear to be moved by both the rotational nature of Saxum but also by the second moon known as "Luna Minor" or "The Light Moon" which, while having no effects on the tides seems to produce a similar effect on the Aether Winds. Continuing with this apparent opposite nature to the tides, the Aether exits almost entirely over the continental portions of the world, perhaps drawing power from the terrestrial life that exists there. However, there are some small routes called "Flying Passes" which cover select parts of the ocean, many explorers dedicate their lives to discovering flying passes.   Additionally, the Aether Winds can sometimes divert or simply disappear, this phenomenon is excessively rare, however it is catastrophic when it happens to a flying ship in air. Flying Ships are called many different things by the cultures who have independently discovered or developed them but the near universal term for these vessels is, "Aether Crafts". Generally these Aether Crafts are categorized similarly to ocean-faring vessels, i.e. Sloops, Brigantines, Galleons, ect. Additionally, other aether-crafts exist that do not fit into the ship categories like the "Aether Zip" which is a small board with a singular sail, often used by thrill-seekers and some pirate groups.    Utilization of the Aether Winds is through mostly magically attuned materials. The most popular are sails created with a cotton-like material derived from the Findili Plant, while the hulls come from wood farmed from
