Year of New ends
The Year of New Ends is a celebration that happens at the end of the human calender. They celebrate another year of holding off the demon lords army and use this one day to celebrate. At the end of the day, a feast is prepared in large cities for anyone, even commoners and beggers to join in so that more healthy bodies can be brought up for the next year. Anyone and everyone is a potential fighter, thus they celebrate what could possibly be their last year on this planet.
