Session 62

The Battle on the Bridge.

  • As the party carefully makes their way across the narrow obsidian bridge, they are met with gaps they jump across and the unknown structural integrity of the bridge itself.
  • Some time passes, but eventually a figure appears on the bridge blocking the path. Makhaon stands before the party holding what seems to be a horned trumpet with Roman numerals on it. He tells the party that he wants his half of the deal fulfilled, or they will feel the consequences. The party still refuses to give the location from where they came from, and Lazarus banishes the devil to another plane with one spell.
  • Thinking that the demon was away from their problems, he appears behind them again! Alkinn, Myrion, and Muta jump into action and attack the demon, knocking the horn out of Makhaon's hand. Makhaon grabs Muta and hoists her over the bubbling lava. Wild jumps into action and hovers under him while the other take out Makhaon. Wild catches Muta and brings her to safety on the bridge.
  • The party continues on the bridge and makes it to two giant gates.

A Develish City and an Obsidian Castle.

  • The party knocks on the gate, and a small latch on one of the doors opens. A flying head questions the party and who they are. They try to lie their way through, but two massive Balors guarding the gates make the party tell the somewhat truth about seeing Kush. The Flying head closes the latch and, for some time, leaves the party with the two balors.
  • The flying head reopens the latch and lets the party know that Kush is expecting them. The giant gates are opened by the huge balors, and a city of sin and a castle of obsidian lie before the party.
  • The first thing the party does is to find information in the city, but with little exploring, the party discovers that they are not the only ones searching for something. As the party searches in a brothel for some information, Wild spots a legion of Kush demons patrolling the area. Wild pushes Idris inside the brothel, and the group realizes that this would probably be the only chance they would get some rest.

Lust and Servitude

  • Knowing the only way to get a room was to pay for the "services," Myrion buys a room for himself and the others. Myrion convinces the succubus running the brothel that he is a somewhat important devil in doing so.
  • Everyone goes to their separate rooms to get some rest. Muta, however, talks to her "worker" and uncovers that they are being forced to work, and they are almost connected to the succubus running the brothel through tattoos on their back. Muta decides to try to help the female worker, but before cutting the tattoo off the woman's back, the worker tells Muta about a haven on the outskirts of the city.
  • Muta agrees to take the woman to safety, and the plan is set in motion. Muta destroys the tattoo and the two jump out of the window of the brothel, and they both sneak their way through the city, Muta acting as the worker's owner.

Freedom and Safety.

  • Muta and the worker make their way to one of the walls of the crater that Abriymoch lies in. Muta notices a cave upon one of the cliffs of the wall. Muta and the worker climb their way up the walls and seek shelter in the cave.
  • In the cave, a mysterious dark figure approaches Muta and the Worker, a red halo glowing above him, and two wicked angelic wings; a terrifying presence fills the walls of the cave.
  • Muta goes on guard but is pleasantly surprised when the being speaks to them in a soft voice, telling the two that they are safe there. Still on edge, Muta hesitates at first, but then puts off her guard when the being opens a door in the cave leading to a cozy cottage in the side of the cave.
  • The being beckons them to come in, and they both do. The being gives aid to the woman and finally introduces him self; he is Telgan, a fallen Asimar.

The Story of the Beginning

  • Telgan explains to Muta that he was once a lieutenant to Idris when he commanded an army. One day, Idris fell in love with a mortal woman in the material plane. Instead of going home, however, Idris wanted to stay with the woman, and he did for some amount of years.
  • After some time had passed, Idris was called back to Mount Celestia, but he refused to return; a legion of celestial came from the Mount to hunt for Idris. As an escape plan, Telgan distracted the celestials coming from the mount, a sacrifice himself, giving them the time to Idris and the woman. The Holy Council banished Telgan to hell, causing him to become a fallen celestial.
  • Telgan sacrificed himself for the love of his commander. Muta explains to him what happened, and Telgan seems overjoyed that Lazarus was alive and well. Muta asks Telgan if he wants to see Idris, but something stirs in him, almost anger, and he refuses to see Idris again.
  • Muta thanks Telgan for the story and the safety of the worker, and she then makes her way back to her party.
