Session 57
Under the City and into the Alley of Darkness.
- The party finally arrives in the city of Trynard, and they search for The Burrow, a tavern hidden in the city of Trynard.
- The party starts by searching the bottom levels and notices that the level is crowded with crowds and vendors in the paths, trying to sell items to people to make a living.
- Walking through the level, Lazarus spots a dark presence in an alley, almost calling to him. Getting closer, he sees what seems to be a Kishi demon calling out to him, but before realizing who it was, Lazarus strikes the demon with a holy blast.
- The demon moans back, feeling betrayed, and moments before vanishing, Lazarus realizes that it was Yearald calling for help.
Climbing Up in the City and Into a Den
- Through a series of ladders, the party made their way to the top floor of the city. The hustling and bustling crowd seemed like the perfect place to do shopping and maybe even stealing.
- Though the distractions were tempting, a dog sitting in the middle of the street, seemingly calling to the party, got their attention.
- The party follows it and is led to a door with a doggy door in the side of an alley. Upon entering, the party is met with troves of animal archons sitting, feasting, and having a great time.
- Some banter in the tavern leads to Izen showing his dark side, and he almost gets pummeled by the archons inside.
- With the argument settled, Lazarus asks the archons how to get to where they need to go, and they point to the cold fireplace in the center of the tavern.
The Holy Mount
- Lazarus approaches the fireplace and strikes the holy flint and steel upon the logs, a white glowing flame engulfs the inside of the fireplace, and the archons erupt in cheers. The fire breaks out, and the party jumps in.
- After a bright light engulfs the party, they are transported to a completely different land. A mass of floating islands dots the landscape, and a large tower in the distance covers the party's eyes. The tower feels as if it is staring into everyone's mind.
- Lazarus and Alkinn are feeling more in tune with their gods, and Myrion is not able to take his eyes off the tower.
- A small floating lamp welcomes the party the Mount Celestia, or as many others know it as heaven. The small archon leads them to platforms on top of large celestial swans. The swan flies by many floating islands with temples and places of worship. The small lamp archon starts to talk to the party, explaining where they are, but eventually, with the confusing questions by Nice Darpon and Myrion, it just explodes.
- The swans eventually lead the group to a large island with a cathedral, and Vokril meets them at the platform.
