Session 53
Tea Time with Death
- After pulling Alkinn out of the dirt and making their way out of the basement, the party sits around the living room trying to figure out what happened to Alkinn and how she even got there.
- A sound from the kitchen and an aroma that resembled pie appeared, and a dark figure with a desert in his hand appeared in front of him.
- With much of the party being scared, the figure assured them that they were not in danger but, in fact, were there to explain what happened to Alkinn and how she ended up in the state that she was in.
- Kelemvor, the god of death, was Alkinn's patron, and he placed a once very loyal body under the cabin years ago. With Alkin's soul being brought back to him, he was able to place her soul in the body of someone long gone.
- The party rests the rest of the night and prepares to head back to Lazarus's family's farm.
- That night, Izen dreams of his godfather Wheis, but this is more of a dream he can connect to him, and a wave of positivity rushed through Izen, temporarily restoring the happiness in his life.
Quick stop in pantry town
- As the party makes their way toward the city of Anedalzi, wild spots giant creatures roaming the woods. One being a huge frog. This frog, seemingly happy to have met travelers, tells the party that an overlord guinepig is reigning over the local woods and giving unjust punishments. The partying wanting to stop this unknown force follows the frog to what seems to be a dueling match between other animals.
- Wild confronts the guineapig and challenges it to a duel.
- The party wins, and the crown of the guinea pig is thrown off his head, and all the animals go back to normal, wild. However, it seems to have created a new companion. Pantry, the somewhat but not so much evil guinea pig.
A Memory Unfolded
- The party rushes back to the city of Anedalzi and to the family farm.
- Smoke in the distance, it seemed as if Lazarus's worst fears had come true: the farmhouse was destroyed, his mother was missing, and the charred corpses of the rest of the family and farmhands were found.
- Wild finds one survivor, Yearld, barely clinging to life. Alkinn, Wild, and Myrion take the wounded farm hand back to town to try to get him responsive again to tell them what had happened.
A New Path Forward
- As Lazarus, Myrion, and Muta start to make preparations to bury the rest of the bodies, a curious dog catches Lazarus' eye. Lazarus follows the dog, and suddenly it transforms into an archon. This archon informs Lazarus that Vokril is looking for him and needs him to meet them in the city of Tryinard. Something very important to the angels was just stolen from this location, and he needs a group strong enough to help.
- The archon gives Lazarus a flint and a stone, which is made of holy stone, to use in a Tavern called the Burrow in the City of Trynard. The archon explains that this is where they need to go to get to Vokril.
- The other group of adventurers gets Yearld back to the city and can wake him up. He informs them that a demon named Kush, a high double-headed demon, was seeking a long-forgotten holy relic hidden by a sergeant of Mount Celestia to gain power over the holy army. He also informs the party that he will be heading to the city of Tryinard as well, but on a separate path.
- The group leaves the wounded Yearld in the hands of the healers they meet back up with the others back at the entrance of the city. They find refuge in the city that night. The next morning, the party goes out and looks for things to do.
- Wild and Pantry come across something of Pantry's past, begging Wild to burn down a local candle shop, but are unsuccessful in convincing them to do so.
- The Party gets their necessary resources and heads north toward the city of Tryinard.
