Lord Crawford
Lord Crawford was a human druidic paladin serving Valdra as his chief soldier and serving as his left hand, in charge of spies and agents as well as adventurers in order to safeguard the realm of the Council of Branches.
He was stoic and ruthless in protecting the realm and it's people, often doing things that would keep him awake late into the night torn with regret, but no one saw this side of him. He fought many unstoppable foes and died many times but never gave up and he always prevailed in the end.
In the War for Life, Crawford was instrumental in every endeavor from establishing pacts with Heaven and Hell, investigating the Disappearance of Ladon and ultimately battling him multiple times as a dracolich first before the Eternal Flame and finally at the penultimate battle of the war. He was there when The Destroyer was killed and helped to strike down Orcus the Prince of Hell.
In the Final Battle of the War against the sinister Crixus Morte, Crawford played host to the raw and limitless power and essence of his god, and Valdra and struck the killing blow against Crixus. It was in this moment, where Crawford after having been a conduit for nearly ultimate power for a brief moment and saved the world, turned to his companions who he had adventured, fought, and grieved with... for the first time smiled at his friends and waved as he turned to dust, and rested at long last. His labors completed, his lord's wishes fulfilled, and with the realm and his friends safe, he at long last greeted Death and passed to Nathraan, the Nature Realm where devotees to nature often pass and find their eternal rest, and where he can hunt and fish and live in peace amid an eternal forest.
