Citadel Dweller

Citadel dwellers, also called civvies, are the inhabitants of the citadels that roam the wasteland. These people live a more privileged lifestyle than the wasters below, but that doesn't mean their lives are without struggle and toil.   Citadel life is vastly different from waster life in so many ways, including beauty standards, diet, traditions, religion, and culture. This said, lower-class civvies will likely find kinship with poor wasters, and upper-class wasters have more in common than they know with rich citadel dwellers.   Citadels use titan-bone coins-- disks of ivory carved from titan teeth-- as the core of their economic system. Bone coins have a hole drilled in their center, and are carried around on a leather strap. Colloquially, these are called "pearlies" or simply "pearls."

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Cleanliness is next to godliness for citadel dwellers. Staying clean is of high importance to all civvies, from the lowest laborer to the highest priest. Long hair is more common here than in the wastes, especially amongst the upper class. Heavier, fatter people are often viewed as attractive due to their wealth.
