Giant

The first race of Sanzeia. Under the blessing of the high god Ulmark, the Worldshaper they built an empire that spanned most of the world. They where tricked into corruption by The Betrayer bringing about their own Fall. It was only through the intervention and sacrifice of the goddess Eofir that they were not wiped out for their transgressions.   Instead, they were allowed to live, even as they succumbed to the corruption of chaos, the giants once proud stature and advanced culture is only hinted at in modern Sanzeia. It is thought that storm and cloud giants are the remnants of those giant tribes that did not join the crusade into the chaos, while the lesser races of giants (for all giants know the hierarchy of their kind and their place in it) are those that have born some of the corruption forward to modern times. The smallest and weakest of the giants, even more decadent then the brutish hill giants and ogres, lost their size and strength and became the first humans, able to survive in Sanzeia only by the cleverness of their minds.   Physical ruins of giant civilization (having fallen over 10,000 years ago) are rare, but the giant language remains the default tongue of higher learning and magic from which Common is descended.
