In the days leading up to this festival, a Flyndak's cousin Lendi disappeared and was found a week later. Mendra indicated that the child might have been taken when the mother Malda broke her word to the faeries. The child was found and returned unharmed.

The armies of the dark elf empire, Yvalia, cross the straits of Gualbenzihl and conquer the independent city of Amitron. This prompts the creation of the Free Cities Accord.
The Greenvalley farm is abandoned. An investigation finds no bodies or any sign of the 3 halflings: Ferren, Malda, and Lendi. The party finds much later that the farmhouse has the entrance to a monster lair within its ruined basement.

1477: Festival. Nothing!? MISSING GIRL!? THEY TOOK LENDI YEAR EARLY
When the Queen of Elow refused to cede the throne to her late husband's brother, the kingdom of Elow was split in half and war began.
According to the black iron harpy:
the harpy queen, Aureai, vanished into the mists of the forest, and returned with read feathers, calling herself Bergatha, and seeking greater power.
Goblins attack the town of Ardrest in the night. The attack is repelled but a variety of children are found missing the next morning. Heroes set off to track the goblins and rescue the children.
The party returns from the goblin's lair with a group of the rescued children. Finding that multiple teens are still missing in Ardrest they track the missing people to a hidden den of thieves beneath the Underbarrel farm. By the next morning the teens are all safely returned to Ardrest.
The party having tracked the harpies to their in High Perch, confronted and slew the Harpy Queen, Bergatha, and interrupted whatever dark ritual was being performed. The party found the halfling infant Alma, surprisingly unharmed and made ready to return to Ardrest.
Alma has been returned to her grateful mother; however, the tavern girl, Marti, was struck down with a mysterious illness, prompting the party to seek out a powerful fae nearby.
Bergatha, the hag, directly attacked Ardrest on the night of the Fortyear Festival, 1491. She was driven back by the heroes, who followed her to her lair and slew her.
The upcoming festival, held every 14 years.

After the Hags' defeat, a great deal of magical energy was released, causing an earthquake that changed the local landscape and raised Hagsfall tower to the surface. The Heroes went on to claim this tower as their new base.
