The Primordial War
When the Gods first descended on Sanzeia, they found it a wild an chaotic place ruled by primordial elemental lords. The Gods warred to subdue the wild elements in a conflict that lasted untold ages and shaped the world of Sanzeia. It is said that to fight this war the Gods created the first of the Giants and the elements created the great immortal Dragons.
Eventually the elements were subdued and brought into line, so that the Gods could continue their good work of forming and ordering Sanzeia.

Aftermath
The lords of the elemental forces of primordial Sanzeia where banished to their respective elemental planes, but through the decree of the Gods, their power would continue to nurture the young planet. Their created servants, such as the Dragons, would continue to live within the material plane as a sign of the covenant.
