Dwarf
The dwarves of Sanzeia are hardy and industrious types divided into two kingdoms on the surface of the world: the mountain holds of Khiz and the lowland Union of Gunarg. Their surface cities often resemble massive stone and iron fortresses, with heavy gates that never close as it would shut off the one thing that the dwarven kingdoms value more than their own clans: trade. Rumors exist of massive underground dwarven cities, but no entrances have ever been found.
Mythologically, dwarves were created by the god Hedir from the leftover clay used in the creation of the other races, and were given their strength from the storm-goddess, Maredeth. Dwarves tend to be the most practical and least pious of the races of Sanzeia, offering up their prayers to whatever deity might effect the task at hand (such as Hedir to bless their crafts, or Eo at the birth of a child).
