The Parque

The Parque, or The Merchant's Districts Public Park, covers several city blocks in the Merchant's District in Garnwald. The area was donated to "the people of the Queendom, by it's loyal servant Madame Julia Featherton" more than three hundred years ago. It employs several gardeners, botanists, and landscape architects, who take great pride in maintaining the park for the city.  Parts of The Parque is designated for picknics, there is a huge artificial dam in the middle of the park where people can rent small boats to row around in the sun, and the rest is a botanical garden with spieces of trees, flowers and plants from all over Sanres. A smaller portion of the botanical garden is set aside for what the botanists call "alien spieces", spieces not native to this plane of existence.    One of the last hired guides of the park is a badger named Grizzlebark The Talking Badger, who one night found the leftovers after an experiment near the University and after eating it learned how to speak and understand spoken common. He will show people around if they pay him in food, or preferably "shinies".
