The Ulasian Oculus

The Ulasian Oculus is a group of wizards and clerics of the Diety, Ulasis God of Time. They interpret the visions from their god in order to inform the Imperial government, advising against the possible futures and interpreting what would be the most possible future.

Mythology & Lore

The Oculus began when Ulasis thought it a good idea to stop the stumblings of mortal races against time. When they chose to do this, Xermos thought that would be unfair so he thus began muddling the future against Ulasis. Thus, Interpreters known as the Oculus formed in a tower in the desert.

Divine Origins

When the Flooding was professed, the interpreters begged for interference on Ulasis' behlalf. He agreed but vowed to do this only once and sent Badariel to lead the exodus to the doorstep of the Oculus and thus the Empire began to form.

Cosmological Views

The world is governed by gods who are all servants to Time. Creation came from the Clashing of the Planes and the Gods work to keep it all from clashing again by instituting rules like Barriers and Death and Time.

Tenets of Faith

There is one future, pursue it to insist that it happens. Magic is the interference of Xermos on the future and must be kept in check by their Witchaussers (This was added post creation of the Witchaussers)

They believe that Destiny is final

Worship

One worships in everything they do less they receive an interpreted prophecy that they actively work against

Priesthood

The Acui Bearers are the Greatest of these religious figures and the rest of the priest hood are either Major or Minor Interpreters.
