Balarot

From the ashes of war and the loss of the Baronies comes Balarot, an orcish settlement free from clan politics and out of the caves of the Icespire Peaks. Lead by the now King Jendahn, former Prince of War of the Vrogar Clan who forsook his clan name to rule over Balarot, the newest of nations on the Vaundland is now racked with industry and difficulties.   On the bright side, the newly established Wondercraft Industries has opened trade routes between many people and the burgeoning nation and has provided work for those who seek a life outside of war. For those who desire war, they may find mercenary work among the many roving bands or see themselves east to the Northern Province of the Ulasian Empire where war still rages.   On the dark side, the Rivermen who were established as smugglers during the war have remained and have attracted the nastier sort of lawlessness that follows with a new kingdom with lots of trade. Additionally, refugees from the former DeGauss Barony who expected to be returned to their homes, now find them occupied by the enemy.

Geography

Balarot, which is the Orcish word for 'green', is named aptly as there are rolling green hills with rivers that inter-cut them that end at the heavily wooded Forest of Amarth.
