The Crown of Stone

"Describe a historically significant piece of jewellery in your world. What stories does it carry?"   Created as a punishment by the Cynaeriese of Sanctuary, a humanoid race found mostly on the continent of Caeroth. They kept mostly to themselves, which led to little to no trade with surrounding kingdoms, empires and city-states. A folk who worship the sky, heavens and especially the sun. While this was mostly true, some sects of mysticism and the occult started a heretic worship towards the Putua (moon), the eye of night. What is known of the heretic event, was the creation of a crown made from Caerothian Soil and crafted into a legendary crown only befitting the royal judiciary of the Cynariese.   As punishment for those who were found guilty in the practice of worship towards the moon the punishment by the crown was decreed. Many plazas were filled with those deemed guilty and a curse was placed upon them;   "As the beauty of the sun has been tarnished in your name, you will never again see the beauty of light and that of the day and what it brings. From today, you will burn in the presence of the radiating sun of Sanctuary, hide in the corners of the world and feel the shame you have brought yourself". Unknown Ruler of the Cynariese   As the curse was placed, those present on the plazas started to turn grey as the sun petrified their skin while in direct sunlight. Those cursed by the crown never found a cure for the curse that was placed and had to live either in darkness or feel the pain as they redeemed themselves towards the radiating sun.

  The Crown of Stone Wondrous Item, Artefact (requires attunement by a Lawful-aligned creature)   The Crown has a smooth earthen hue to the base of the crown has the crown rises from the base it transitions from an earthen hue to a crimson red at the tips. In the front, a large exquisitely cut ruby adorns the front and balances the crown in appearance.   Dormant
The Crown of Stone grants the following benefits in its dormant state:   You have resistance to radiant damage.
You gain a +1 bonus to spell attacks and saving throws while attuned to this crown.
The Crown has 10 charges for the following properties. The Crown regains 1d6+4 expended charges daily at dawn.
Spells. While wearing this crown, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC and spell attack bonus: Bless(2 Charges), Sanctuary (2 Charges), Augury (4 Charges), Enhance Ability (4 charges), Bestow Curse (6 Charges)
