Deepbee

While the bee-kind of the surface might not be cut out for the Underground, the surface people found there was another species already present in the depths. Deepbees. They are large, nearly as big as an eye, and colored in a sooty black and grey. Despite their intimidating appearance, however, they're quite docile. And the honey they produce? Divine. Infused with the spore-stuff of cave fungi, as well as the pollens of normal flora.   The Royal Jelly of Deepbees, some say, has strange and potent powers. Alchemists and oracles alike hunger for even the smallest samples of the stuff. But none, save the Keepers of the Deepbees, know how to acquire it.
