Halfling / Hin
Halflings are somewhat common place in and around Sakura Village and most villagers won't see them as any rarer than the average Human. The Villagers even speak fondly of the halfling Perim Wilmbows who fought bravely in the defense of Sakura Village. Recently arrived Imperials however might find them a little odd as the Celestial Empire did not have any significant populations of halflings. The Empire is vaguely aware of their existence though as the occasional traveler comes through from far off lands. Well traveled or knowledgeable Imperials might recognize them for what they are but the average uneducated citizen would simply assume them to be some sort of Yokai or unfortunately short human.
