Lisgól
'Eb xla tanu Meirenós kesailag fundat, fail sufat, deþ Haimenós kesetag.'Lisgól is the homeland of the Lisy People, and lies across the Lisy Meir to the East of Kena. It is widely known as an exotic land to the people of Kena, and the Lisy People have developed a totally different culture. The continent is split by a huge mountain range known as the Biargeneg, beyond which lies a vast and mysterious desert known as the Völriigen. The North and East have been extensively settled by Kenaty traders and Kenaty city states have prospered along the coasts for centuries as cultures from both sides of the Lisy Meirós have fused. The south is home to fiercely independant Lisy nations, who live seperated by hundereds of miles of dense rainforest.
Geography
Lisgól is divided into 3 areas by culture, the Kena-influenced colonies in the North, the native Lisy people in the south, and land beyond Biargeneg which remains largely unexplored to the Kenaty.
The North
The North and West coasts of the continent are politically under the control of the Helfós dai Narcuxy Góli and the Zamós dai Lisy Köni. The northern tip of the continent is covered in dense coniferous forest and the peninsula is dominated by a large lake, called Aimeir. The north eastern coast is a rugged yet profoundly beautiful wilderness, inset with great fjords and rivers. The area was settled during the early Third Age by Kenaty traders, who have all but replaced the local Liscux natives. The traders have built large cities along the southern coast of the peninsular. They have also settled inland, particularly around Lake Aimeir from which they harvest timber from the forest and collect valuable furs for export back to Kena. A fjord on the North East coast of Lisgól The West coast of Lisgól is the most heavily populated area of the continent. Although Kenaty influence is still dominant, aspects of the native culture are still present and the local Liscux have developed a new unique dialect of Lisy referred to as New Lisy. Recently, the peoples of this region have developed a new sense of independance and have organised themsleves into a loose confederation of city states known as the Zamós dai Lisy Köni in order to resist Kenaty influence. The region consists of fertile arable land and sprawling decidous forests into the foothills of Biargeneg.
