Mendori
Mendori is a large dual-kingdom nation located in central El. Its two kingdoms, Ercifili to the West and Hereph to the East, are inhabited by mainly Humans and Gnomes, with a small handful of Dwarves. The two kingdoms joined together very recently, just reaching four decades of cooperation. This joining of kingdoms occurred due to a mutually beneficial business prospect that required both kingdom's resources. Mesk was originally supposed to take part in this joining as well, but the country's leader refused the offer. However, now that Mesk has dissolved, the newly unclaimed territory was claimed by Mendori as a joint mining land.
As a conjoined nation, their economy is based mainly off the new technological advancements that have come out of the area. To start, before the nations even joined together, the Red Dawn Runner created by gnomish tinkerer Turrin Beeetlebag began taking passengers from the Kettis Road all the way through Terpis, Merdo, Pidrel, Cacodekemene, and Mendori. The annual revenue made from the steam locomotive helps supplements the profit made from other sources, such as high-quality magic item bases, mining, and manufacturing. The nation also receives a healthy stipend from Kettis in order to maintain its hold om Mechane, the Titan of Machinery.
While it is a growing nation that sells many items to the outside world, the technocracy is often seen as isolationist, keeping many of its inner workings and new projects to itself, though many government figures and envoys of the church who have visited for one reason or another remark on what they saw by saying It was "so great and terrifying," and concluding that Mendori must be kept an ally at all costs.
