Jeweler's River
A short tributary of the Khamzat River, the Jeweler’s River (more properly a stream, perhaps) is renowned across Vesarca for its exceptional beauty. Dazzling arrays of colors shift and glimmer beneath the surface of this meandering stream, from mineral-rich sands in reds, golds, and greens to colorful underwater plants and algal blooms, all beneath the swaying emerald boughs of a charming forest, with willows gently caressing the water with their tendrils. The cumulative effect of the kaleidoscopic colors and glitter of the sun on the water is said to resemble a trove of precious gems.
Late spring is widely considered the optimal time to visit, as the annual blooming of thick beds of river-violets and the cerulean bloom of nazhud algae coincide. Several former logging towns in the nearby forest have almost entirely converted to tourist traps, as the accessibility of the Jeweler’s River makes it popular not only with the nobility but with serfs from across Floria on their occasional holidays.
