Bombflower Bay
The blue-green waters of Bombflower Bay are home to thousands of stunning limestone karsts and islets, towering grey cliffs rising from the waves and topped with lush green flora. A few clusters of the rock formations are topped with ancient shrines repurposed to the worship of the Menhir of Fomalhaut, the rocks lashed together by rope bridges and the cliffs carved with stairs. The largest islands, of which there are only a few, are home to entire villages.
The bay is named for the bombflower, whose seed pods explode and scatter their seeds with surprising force. The number and pattern of islets in the bay were likened by the locals to the spread of bombflower seeds, and coincidentally, the plant grows nearby, just inland.
Shallow and dense with obstructions, the bay is nearly useless for any large vessels, but the nutrient-rich waters teem with fish. Every day, hundreds of serfs go out in small one or two-man boats to haul up catches of fish that are the barony’s primary export. Sightseers and pilgrims visit the beautiful bay in great numbers, sometimes disrupting the daily catch, much to the fishers’ chagrin.
