UTAKU SATOMI

OVERVIEW:
Hailed as a once-in-a-generation strategist and master of the mount, Utaku Satomi has secured her place as one of the highest ranking generals among the Unicorn. She rides into battle with her own contingent of Battle Maidens, often devastating enemy flanks and capturing generals. Her campaigns against the Lion have won back many of the Unicorn's ancestral lands--for this, she's been honored as a great restorer of honor to the Unicorn. Satomi takes this honor very seriously, so much so that she disowned her own daughter for suffering the loss of an outpost against the Lion. Satomi took this as a personal failing of her own, which has only driven more distance between her family and herself as she insists upon her duties to the Unicorn.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Despite being in her forties, Satomi is capable of besting samurai who are in their prime. It seems the chaos of the battlefield doesn't serve as a stressor for her, as she's often her most calm when in combat: be it crashing through enemies lines upon her steed; facing off against Lion generals in duels to decide the outcome of a bloody conflict; or even just surveying the plains the night before and calculating strategies for the battle upcoming. She speaks in a direct tone and is honest to a fault. Even in her later years, her hair has maintained a lustrous darkness and sheen to it. Rumor has it that she made a promise to only ever cut her hair when she lost a battle and that her hair's length speaks towards her tenacity and capabilities even now, earning her the moniker, "The Unshorn Utaku".
