Dragons

Long ago, back in the 3rd Age of Calamity, dragons could be found everywhere, roaming the skies, lands, and seas. It's said that were very peaceful for the most parts, except for when hunting or when provoked. But in the 4th Age of Calamity, something caused this to change. Many became very violent, to the point they ruined land, felled kingdoms, and conquered empires. They would go to war against each other, causing devastation where they fought and changed the landscape drastically. The wars only ended near the end of the 4th Age of Calamity, also known as the War of the Scales, when the 5th Calamity felt upon Rygat and those dragons that had survived this age was all but gone by the Calamity Magic. In the 5th Age of Calamity, there were scarce any signs of dragons, and to this day it stays like this. At one point, it's not exactly sure when, mortals began to hunt dragons, not just for their scales, but bones, teeth, blood, meat, everything. It was a dangerous thing to attempt by anyone, and usually required what could be described as an army to take down one dragon, suffering many casualties for it.   Today, dragons are so rarely seen and elusive that gathering the necessary bodies to take on such an effort is futile, for it's most likely gone in hiding or moved on before they can strike.
