These pages contain are enchanted and written with a mystical cipher that can be used to replenish used spell slots. A character that spends 10 minutes focusing on the Lost Chapter can choose to regain one expended spell slot, the level of which equal to or lower than that of the Lost Chapter. Once a spell slot has been replenished, the words burn away and the pages become powerless.
While Lost Chapters are helpful for restoring spell slots, they can put stress on the users if used too often. Each additional use of a Lost Chapter within a seven day period adds a cumulative risk of magical backlash. -WIP-
