Additional Spells for Subclasses

Some of the older subclasses got a little left behind as newer ones gained "Origin spells". These are additional spells learned when you reach certain levels in a particular class. Each spell counts as a spell for that class without counting against your total known spells. (Words are hard. Basically all Ranger subclasses from Xanathar's onward and all Sorcerer classes from Tasha's onward have extra spells per subclass. Evening the playing field a little bit.)

Ranger Subclasses

  Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an [school of magic] or a [school of magic] spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list."
