Orc Empire
History
Founding
The Orc Empire was founded by Yaz Mountainsplitta in 38 ME The Orc people had lived on the Continent of Ga before the Orc Empire was established, but it was Yaz who really brought the Orcs to their modern day glory. After the his fortress was built in what would later be Ragash, he named the empire Ga'Kruk, a simple combination between the name of the land, Ga, in celestial and Kruk which is the name of the orc goddess in almost every language.
After Yaz had started to build his empire he set out on the warpath. He had the goal of uniting all of orc-kind under one banner, the Bultak Wartribe. Most of the orc tribes joined the Bultak Wartribe with little to no resistance, but the ones who did put up heavy resistance were met with merciless slaughter of all of the members of thier tribe; this practice made other tribes more likely to join out of fear.
Early Growth
In the years between 50 and 150 ME the Orc Empire saw explosive growth. Its population boomed to over 5 million due to recent developments in metallurgy and agriculture and their military grew from a warband to a legions of dedicated soldiers ready to die for their homeland. The cities of Mraz and Vrog were also raised in this time period and this caused trade with foreign parteners to boom, particularly with the Matriarchs of Ognarath, who were in desperate need of food.From around 150 to 250 ME the Orc Empire was still flourishing. The population had doubled to 10 million and the cities of Morn, Daz, Gak, and Gonk were rasied to accommodate for the increasing population. Also in this time Ragash had grown to over 250,000 people and Mraz and Vrog had both broken 100,000 inhabitants. The discovery of selective breeding to make crops grow larger was also in this time period which helped with the agricultural output of the empire and allowed the population to grow. Though the Orcs are typically known for their brutality and barbarism, a new tribe of Orcs was founded in 183 ME called the Tribe of Enlightened Orc Minds. This tribe was a very powerful reasearch council that would make several breakthroughs in the years to come. Many other Orc Tribes were founded during this time such as The Holy Order of Orcs, which specialized in worship and praise of Kruk and would later be granted power by Kruk; The Orcs for Peace, a rebel group trying to dismantle the current system of things in the Orc Empire and impliment a much more peaceful way of living for the average orc; and The Bully Boyz, a massive tribe of orc mercenaries that are even more brutal and cunning than the average orc.
The Thousand Years War
The Thousand Years War was a massive conflict involving every nation of the world and the Orcs played a large roll in it. The war began in 263 ME and lasted until 1275 ME.Cities in the Orc Empire
