Gate Ring
The Gate Ring was made by an elven wizard called Rolar Cartoris to contain his lover, a contracted succubus known as Abaddon. He first acquired her after he prayed to the gods to bring his dead wife back, who he had just killed because she didn't want to be with him anymore. Instead of getting her back, he was given Abaddon to tend to his every need. He soon forgot his wife and became fascinated by this young woman who never seemed to age. Although an elf, he still aged and wondered why he should, if his lover didn't. So, he prayed again, asking them to make him ageless so he could spend eternity with the woman he now loved. The fiend appeared to him this time as his dead wife; she told him he could have eternity with Abaddon if he told them why he killed his wife in the first place. To this, he said he had been jealous and only wanted her to himself. His 'wife' laughed and said Fine, you can have immortality, but you have to kill Abaddon for it. He didn't want to do that, so he instead started to look into necromancy. He made the ring and bound Abaddon to it, so that he could take her to his pocket plane, as she had been unable to cross into it up to that point. She didn't like this and ended his life after showing her proper form; she thought this would help her escape the ring, but she was wrong. Cartoris had made sure that if he were to die, then she would be bound to the ring forever, as he never found the answer to immortality and wanted her for himself. The fiend that made the contract left her in the ring as justice for being too brash.
