Session 50: The Tabernacle of Worms

The Vandals of Fate fly deeper into the Wormcrawl Fissure following the tugging feeling that the three spirit parts seem to give off. As they get to the bottom of the fissure and seeing a large tabernacle the Vandals decide to temporarily retreat to allow Fedi Kita time to recover her spells. The next day our Vandal push forward and enter the complex. Inside they find multiple Worm that Walk cultists. The battle is quick with a victory going towards our Vandals. Searching the area they find little of interest. From here they have the choice of heading down a set of stairs or through a door. The Vandals decide to explore beyond the door first. Through here they find a hallway and another door. Past that door is another Worm that Walks cultist. They quickly kill it and explore the rooms beyond finding a sitting room, as well as a small library. In the center of this room sits a magical book covered by a silk black cloth. Fedi Kita opens the book and reads from it, only to discover it is cursed. Although it answers the question she had on the forefront of her mind, the book ate the memories of her mother as well as drained a day of life away from her. With all of this Fedi Kita slips the book into her bag.   Heading down the hallway they end up in an area that is being guarded by a Dragon that seems to be crossed with an overworm. However despite this, our Vandals easily manage to kill it. They end up finding its hoard of treasure and quickly pocket everything of value. The Vandals then finish exploring the rest of the floor, finding little to nothing of interest. Now they fly up a passage and at the end of this passage sits Dragotha himself. Dragotha reveals that Lashonna works for Kyuss and she has taken his prison to free him. Dragotha plans on killing the Vandals before heading to join Lashonna. He taunts our Vandals a bit before attacking. Being said, our Vandals manage to slay the undead Dragon, and in doing so end the reign of one of the most dangerous creatures in Ronia. As their prize they find a truly impressive hoard of a Dragon that has lived for three millenia. Now our Vandals must track down Lashonna. For she plans to bring about the Age of Worms.
