Session 44: Descent into Dream

As the Vandals of Fate drink from the Fountain of Dreams they all quickly fall into a deep slumber. As they drift into the darkness they find themselves on a windswept bluff, below stretches an immense canyon. In the distance the unmistakable silhouette of White Plume Mountain. However what the Vandals realize they are surrounded by combat. Smoke rises from distant cities while all manor of undead creatures battle with the mortal ancestries. In the sky sits Dragotha the undead red Dragon who commands the legions of Kyuss' army. Seeing all this our Ratcatchers feel a surge of vitality as all their wounds heal and the spellcasters magic replenishes.   The Vandals than here a man behind them, when they turn they are met by the four druids who would one day become the Wild Watchers on Tiligos Island 1,500 years in the future. He informs our heroes that they plan to hide Dragotha's phylactery as destroying it would only cause Dragotha to attack in wild abandon. Instead our heroes along with a surprise of Lashona who's real identity is a majestic silver Dragon. Lashona takes to the skies to battle Dragotha. As she leaves they Druids inform our Vandals that they plan on hiding the phylactery in Kongen-Thulnir. Our Vandals must hold off the undead while they do so.   The battle that follows is a blood bath while swarms of undead slam into the lines that our Vandals have drawn, a much more dangerous undead creature emerges. A Tzitzimitl, a creature of legend said to be a harbinger of death and destruction. As our Vandals give the killing blow they also see Dragotha make a killing blow on Lashona as well. At this point they awaken from the dream now armed with the knowledge on where the phylactery is entombed. Now our Vandals must return to Alhaster and work out where Kongen-Thulnir is located.
