Abyss Dust
The specially treated and ground petals of the Sunburst Flower, this inhaled powder looks like rich black or deep gray ashes. Abyss Dust is highly addictive and dangerous for any prolonged use. It is considered a highly illegal substance in any area of civilization. Which makes it profitable to those in crime.
After inhaled the user will lose their sense of pain, however they will also experience hallucinations after 1 to up to 4 hours. Overdose of this substance can lead to a full break down of the users body, which will eventually lead to death.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
When consumed the creature gets a free soak to all damage taken for 1 hour. As well as -1 die step accumulative per use to smarts for 1 week. Every time they take a new dose this timer resets back to 1 week. When the user's smarts reaches d4 - 2 they become incapacitated, pace is reduced to 0, and can not speak verbally or telepathically if they are able. When they consume the substance the user must make a Vigor Test -8 or receive Habit (Major - Abyss Dust) hinderance. If the user has managed to not use the substance for 1 week, they may attempt a Spitit Test -8 to overcome the addiction. Any ability damage from Abyss Dust can only be recovered by a greater restoration spell or magic of similar or higher power.
After 1d4 hours of consumption the user begins to suffer hallucinations, (-2 to all rolls for 8 hours). If Abyss Dust is consumed further during this 8 hour period. The user suffers -1 die step to Vigor per dosage. If the users constitution score falls to d4-2 due to this they die. Spells that ressurect that do not restore missing body parts are not able to resurrect a body that has been killed in this way. This vigor damage can only be recovered with a greater restoration spell or magic of similar or higher power.
