The March on Asta

A revolt by the people that led to the beginning of the war.

Asta was a large city in Ferir, a country on Bayta. A group of powerful magic users had been growing an underground protection system for decades to keep people from being kidnapped by Nuren Aza, but during the year of 1756, troops were really being mobilized in the area, making it more difficult to keep these people safe.   However, a soldier and spy from Nuren Aza found out what had been going on and defected from the army, joining this group of people and helping them to organize a march on the city in order to draw attention to what Nuren Aza was doing. Thousands of people joined the cause, and once Ferir was aware of what was going on, they were furious with Nuren Aza. They declared war on the country almost immediately, only making an alliance with other countries after the fact.
