Natural Resources
The nebula surrounding the system is rich in a number of valuable gasses and even promethium fuel can be gleaned from the nebula in small amounts if enough effort is spent harvesting it.
History
Little is known of the system of False Hope, for the entire body appears to be a nebula. Navigators have theorized there must be planets or some sort of large gravitational object inside, as the system casts a definite shadow in the Warp, but to date nothing has been found.
Tourism
Periodically messages from False Hope stretch out to Explorers, tantalizing them with stories of great wealth and power if only they will step into the nebula and claim their prize. Most emerge weeks later having gotten lost inside and finding no trace of anything that could have sent a message. The rest never return at all.
The Adeptus Mechanicus has set up several way-station beacons whose machine spirits loyally attempt to dissuade any from entering the nebula.
