Meroe
A majestic town on the southern coast, Meroe is the ancient capital of the Nubian kingdom. Meroe is famed for its pyramids, temples, and palaces that reflect its glorious history and heritage. The town is also a center of trade and diplomacy, where envoys and merchants from different nations mingle and exchange goods and ideas.
The town sits at the end of the Meroe Penninsula and the approach from land is spectacular and full of gigantic stone statues, carvings and edifiaces.
