Fort Clocx

Rumor has it that the gold reserve of the human Magocracy at Fort Clocx remains untouched in the old capital city. The vault was state of the art, and deep underground, so conventional wisdom states that it survived the magiological bombardment. The vault was never connected to the Deep Lines for obvious reasons, and nobody has been able to safely cross the surface for well over a century, so presumably it's still there, untouched, gleaming in the lonely darkness of the ruined bank. "But think of the gold" they say. "Think of all that gold, think what we could do with it. We could run a hundred trains for a thousand years and still have change for a hot meal with real vegetables." Now adventurers and The Conductors, survivors, and fools gather and plan in the ruins of Capital Station, pouring over old blue prints and trying to devise a safe way up through the corpse dust and the wild magic winds. "If only we could get at that gold , then things would be better. You'd see, all we need is that gold!" And the more forward thinking of their number scratch at their heads and wonder "assuming we cross the surface we can't cross, and break into the impenetrable vault, how do we bring all that gold back?"
