Major General Maximilian Macgruder (a.k.a. "Bombard Macgruder")
Maximilian "Bombard" Macgruder is a House Tasir Artificer and Major-General of its Engineers Militant, as well as a close confidant of Ahmlodi Al-Tasir.

Specialized Equipment
Unlike most artificvers who may control a maximum of two Small Eldritch cannon, Maximilian's mastery of the machine allows him to field three such devices of up to Medium size with devestating effect. At their largest sizes, they provide full cover and have enhanced HP versus their smaller counterparts, but provide platforms to stand atop so as to make its cover optional.
Maximilian wears a signature monocle, which is the subject of a refined multi-function infusion of his own design. When switched between its different modes via a tiny brass switch along its surface, it can alternately function as Goggles of Night that provide 60-foot darkvision at night, a Lens of Detect Magic and Lens of Identify that alternately allow for the detection of and identification of magic in the vicinity, and a Target Illuminator that functions in a manner similar to Faerie Fire but for a single target. The device has six charges, may be used only once per round, and requires an action to change the modes.

Personal history
Born to parents who were themselves already embedded in House Tasir's non-noble workings. His mother was a supervisor in the Tasir Spire Steamworks, responsible for regulating heat and power flow through Tasir Spire itself and the third of Ibaehiri under their domain or loose affiliation, while his father was a manservant to the Tasir nobles themselves, a connection that would prove advantageous in Maximilian's later life.
Education
He displayed an aptitude for artifice early in his years. Carrying on his family's tradition of service to House Tasir, he joined its Engineers Militant and quickly began rising its ranks, proving himself as skilled a strategist, commander and enforcer as he was an artificer.
Employment
Maximilian has been an Artificer in the employ of House Tasir for his entire life, and is the very model of a loyal soldier and retainer. Eventually he was promoted to Major-General of the Engineers Militant, replacing its previous retiring officeholder, making him the highest-ranking military official of House Tasir. This makes him responsible for its military forces within the Spire specifically (along with the honor guard that typically accompanny Tasir nobles), and Ibaehiri's city defense garrison generally along with his counterparts in the other two Great Houses.
Morality & Philosophy
While he lacks much of the focus on codes and honor that House Tasir proper choose to regard as so important, Maximilian is a generally good person who tries to have a positive impact on the world. He is often seen as a mentor and uplifting leader by his troops, who as a result often end up being some of the most capable battle artificers Ibaehiri has to offer in protection of its citizens.
