Play Session 6/13/22 - Misty Forest Wrap-up & New Developments
This write-up is from memory from 2-1/2 months ago, so pretty sketchy. I did get the important beats in though. Text me if you remember something or wrote something down that would add to this write-up. John
As the battle with Chuth's followers ended, the heroes rescued three elves who were being held captive by the cultists and were about to be fed to the dragon. They were shook up, but once the elves realized that all the attackers are dead, they calmed down somewhat and talked briefly with several of the party while another contingent searched around the lair to ensure that there wouldn't be any more nasty surprises from hidden foes.
The group found the dragon horde as well as other treasure stolen from Altland. Collecting what they want from the dragon's possessions, they left the stolen goods for the elves to retrieve. The group returned to Altland to tell the elven town that the misty forest should be safe from any further dragon cultist activity associated with Chuth's followers. The elders of Altland were grateful and were trying to decide what to do with Neronvain and were waiting to hear back from King Melandrach.
As the group began traveling back to Waterdeep, Robin was pulled aside by an elf who was apparently part of a smuggling ring associated with the thieves guild that Robin joined while in Waterdeep. The elf tells Robin to deliver 5 viles of a lime green liquid to a half elf storekeeper in the docks district of Waterdeep. The store was called Fisherman's Fancies. Robin was instructed to ask, "Do you happen to sell conch shell poultices?" If he's dealing with the right person if he hears the response, "Which do you mean? Ivory or spotted conch shells?"
As the city walls of Waterdeep came into view and the group was in line to enter the city gates, the group overheard a fellow who was overjoyed because he saw a metallic dragon, gold in color, flying overhead about two days ago. Gojira asked this man about what he saw and was surprised to hear that the golden dragon had three heads. Gojira didn't quite know what to think. Ghidorah had been spotted. It was his lifelong mission to exact revenge, but it was an ill omen indeed that he had made his way apparently across the ocean and had been seen above Waterdeep.
