Arcane Magic
Arcane magic is like art, someone can be taught to draw or write and even an individual with zero natural talent or artistic vision can, with proper care and instruction, produce a basic sketch or simple rhyme. These are cantrips, the very basic building blocks of greater spells. They are spells so simple and formulaic that they barely count as magic and take up so little space in the mind that they can essentially be burned in, never to be forgotten.
To move beyond these first halting steps does require talent and dedication as the individual artist, or more appropriately arcanist, must learn to relate to magic in their own way. They can, and in most cases will need to, seek out tutors and companions of like or greater talent to foster their growth in the craft and learn their first true spells. Magic is almost like a living thing in its own right, and while schools of thought or traditions of magic have a general tenency no two individuals will ever be able to utilize exactly the same techniques, though they may be able to produce nearly identical results.
