The Preacher
A 7 foot tall slender figure stands in the cathedral, surrounded by stained glass and candle lit flame. Their fingers are long and wiry, their skin lavender and eyes black with golden irises. Two horns of gold twist from their temples. They are wearing long, flowing robes of white adorned with intricate patterns of gold.
The Preacher is a devil who is seldom seen. They used to be part of the otherworldly forces of the hells, but upon seeing the Kingdom they switched their allegiance to that of Excelsis. They are now the head of Church Operations, and are seen each year, on the first of the year, delivering a speech to the Kingdom in honor of Excelsis. They are largely regarded as living proof that redemption is possible, and that even a devil can see the light.
The Preacher is one of the Trinity, the three heads of the church that represent the most important Emperor's Order. The Preacher represents worship, as worship is the most fundamental part of the Kingdom. The Artist represents freedom, as freedom to express oneself and act as an individual only helps their ability to worship in their own way; all who enjoy life, hone a skill, and even those who only survive are enjoying what Excelsis made for them. The Sentinel watches all, just as Excelsis does, and those who are seen acting against His will are judged and punished by him.
“I gave my will, mind, body, and finally, my name.”
