The Holy Miracles of Excelsis

In the beginning, there was nothing but sand and sky. When other gods looked upon this barren wasteland, they saw untillable soil, unworkable terrain, and uninhabitable land. When Excelsis laid his eyes upon this land, he saw opportunity. Raising his hand almighty, he placed, a gargantuan waterfall which poured infinite water into a well that connected to a system of geometric aqueducts and waterways so that life, may spread forth in every direction. There was not flora nor fauna in this newly hydrated wasteland, so Excelsis raised his palm to the sky and saw all the life in the world, and from that he chose the creatures that could live in the warmest of climates and the most hellish of circumstances. From their image, he created the first plants and animals in his kingdom. Finally, he sent a call to all adventurers and worthy merchants from across the world, beckoning them forth to be the pioneers of his new empire, and in return demanded only worship. Now, generations later, this sacred promise is still intact.
