The Wingman
Hang Glider is Qwest44's signature OC and the main character in the Secret Glider series.
Loadout/Abilities
HG utilizes Secret Glider, a pair of jet-powered robotic wings stored within a prototype form of technology known as Summon Tech. Using Spacium energy in the tech, HG can summon and despawn his wings at any time.
Weaknesses
When overheating, the wings automatically despawn and remain in that state during cooldown, unless HG purposefully deactivates the safety protocol, which will then risk having the wings explode when used for extended periods of time.
Ice and water can be a hindrance to the wings' performance, as ice disrupts airflow while water can extinguish the flame.
HG himself has no powers, making him more vulnerable to elements and other supernatural causes.
His wings are not sharpened because of their calibration for air flow. Hence, he cannot slice, only impact. This is especially apparent on armored enemies. Backstory
When HG was seven, a horrific disaster ruptured the island he was on, and in a chain of events, was sent to a hidden location in Onthal. Separated from his family, he lived for another twelve years in a safe house established by his parents.
During that time, he increased his skills by reading books, practicing martial arts, and building/improving pieces of technology to upgrade his safe house into what he calls home. Often, he would wander the nearby village, making a few local friends and fighting off the constant threat of bandits. With additional support, he also enrolled in the local martial arts school and considered them a second family. But he never revealed the true origins of his past.
The resources he took advantage of allowed him to interact well with the community, so when the Stealthcloak Faction discovered his hideout, they were not greeted by an insane person but rather a friendly and honest individual.
Sensing greatness in him, the leader of the faction, Kuo, invited HG to try for the Secret Glider project in one of the Sky Secret Force bases. After intense training sessions with the faction, HG has developed the capability to undergo the first flight, and this is where his adventure begins. Personality
Through much of his martial arts training, HG has learned the core values of honor, respect, confidence, and honesty. He hates killing and believes in reforming those who can change for the better.
His overall character is outgoing, friendly, and caring, though he can become pretty serious and determined when in combat. Additionally, he doesn't swear or curse. He's always willing to stand for what's right, even if it risks his own life at times. Trivia

- His voice actor is Qwest44, who is also the creator of the series.
- He was developed as part of the Pylon animation contest in November 2017, where the theme was hang gliders. He won third place as a result.
- His body color came from the Retro color palette in a mobile animation application called FlipaClip. The cloth's original color was purple before being changed to blue to emphasize that HG was a boy.
- He enjoys a good golf game once in a while.
