Réimse na Bláthanna
They say it's a realm of peace, where the Elves can perfect their magical craft over their never ending lives. These are true elves, mind you. Most of the elves you might see in your day to day are... diluted, in a way.
Irrespective of the elves, I don't think Bláthanna is like the tales describe it as. Why would any of the elves leave then? For humanity? I've met plenty of men and women, and most of both are awful. I don't think that could be it.
The only thing I'm left to think is that it's not as idyllic as they make it sound and damnit I want to find out why.
While the Elves you may, possibly, meet in your day to day are just as clueless to the existence or possible goings on of the "land of flowers", Réimse na Bláthanna, the legends speak of it as a land of perpetual peace and magic that flows like water. Other than that, it is an enigma. The status of it's existence, where it might be and how to get there if it is real, what it looks like, and more recently, if the elves even remain there.
Vrosoc, mage-smith to King Gowyr, is said to be an elf directly from Réimse na Bláthanna, and Ser Larris the Faefriend was said to have seen the land itself in his adventures, perhaps the only human to ever do so. Yet even while Camlann was in its heyday it was note that few, if any, Elves left its shores, and none ever returned.
The stories of what Réimse na Bláthanna contains are as varied as the opinions on its existence. Some believe that it would be a simple trove of magical artifacts, more powerful than anything the world has seen. Others than it would be nothing but a graveyard, full of Elven skeletons and gravedust. The stories surrounding the homeland of the Elves seemingly lack that historical core that often builds legends around it, leading to the wild speculation of the general populace.
