Wunnikaa

Wunnikaa was a towering figure that stood at 221 centimetres. As a Wookiee, she was naturally heavy, weighing in at 102 kg, and it contributed to much of her natural sturdiness and strength. Her limbs were long, and each terminated in five clawed digits, though they were mostly obscured by her fur.

Wunnikaa was covered in dark brown and black fur like most Wookiees, with wisps of white and pale greys and browns. This was especially true around her eyes, giving her the appearance of having aged a few centuries.

Wunnika had long, pointed, tufted ears, each typically adorned with three golden piercings.

Her facial fur was well-managed, mostly tied or braided with golden beads. Wunnikaa let the fur on her chin grow into a beard-like appearance, tying it into sections, which gave her an even more androgynous appearance. Instead of trimming it, she preferred to wear a small headdress that pushed the fur out of her eyes.

Like most Wookiees, she had a strong nose bridge and a muzzle with a dark-coloured rhinarium, which showed off her black skin. The bridge of her nose and septum were pierced, and she also wore golden jewellery.

Wunnika had the appearance of an underbite due to her lower canines sticking out over her upper lip. Over the years, a small dent carved itself there.

Her eyes were upturned and a pale brown colour, and despite the brightness of their tone, they burned fiercely even when completely calm.

Wunnikaa moves with the controlled power of a warrior. Each of her steps is deliberate and heavy, her massive frame impossible to ignore. She walks with purpose, her shoulders squared and her head held high, but there's an easy confidence in her strides rather than rigidity. When she moves, her fur moves with each motion, and the golden beads click softly as they sway.

She fights right-handed and with a fluid, firm grip. When dueling, she relies on patience, reading her opponent's movements before striking with calculated force.

When sitting, she leans forward, elbows resting against her knees in casual but slightly imposing contemplation. If given space, she sits with her legs crossed, fingers idly playing with the beads in her fur.

Wunnikaa's presence is commanding. When she stands in a room, she unapologetically takes up space. Even in stillness, there's an energy about her, like a predator at rest, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

Wunnikaa was fond of the traditional Jedi robes and wore them around the temple, but she tended to shed them when training, on a mission, or in battle, as she found they got in the way of her movements. Usually, she wore a simple belt and pauldron combination made of natural fabrics, raw metals and the wood of wroshyr trees. Wunnikaa usually donned various shades of green if wearing colours other than brown.

Wunnikaa excels in lightsaber combat, particularly in Form I and Form III. She is a patient fighter who uses her opponent’s impatience against them, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Even without her lightsaber, she is a formidable opponent, having trained in close-quarters combat, allowing her to disarm or overpower enemies with strength and technique.

As a leader, Wunnikaa is a skilled strategist with a deep understanding of battle tactics and troop leadership. She excels in large-scale planning, ensuring her battalion is always positioned effectively in combat. However, she is also an adept diplomat, using her honesty and wisdom to mediate conflicts and form alliances when necessary.

Outside of battle, Wunnikaa is skilled in woodworking and blacksmithing, and her natural charisma makes her particularly good at talking people into and out of fights, depending on the situation.

She has a strong sense of personal space and dislikes being used as a walking ladder or tool simply because she is taller than most. People frequently ask her to grab objects from high places, which annoys her greatly, as do short doorways and unclosed cabinets, which she often bumps into.

Wunnikaa displayed strong loyalty, courage, and honour, and never hesitated to demonstrate them. She was always honest and spoke her mind freely, even if her words sometimes came out wrong. However, her intentions were always good, and the people around her knew that.

She was a selfless person who always put the well-being of others before her own needs, ensuring that everyone around her was cared for.

Wunnikaa was also known among her Heliost Clan members for her tenacity, which defined much of her character.

Her sense of humor was another quality that set her apart. Though she was often serious and duty-driven, she enjoyed playful banter and had a sharp wit, especially when speaking with Ria. The two often joked in lesser-known Wookiee dialects so that others couldn’t understand them.

Wunnikaa possessed a strong sense of justice. She despised oppression, cruelty, and dishonour, and she actively fought against them. While she understood that war was complicated, she refused to compromise her morals for the sake of victory. During the Clone Wars, she fought not just for the Republic but for the ideals it was supposed to uphold.

Wunnikaa, despite her many strengths, could be incredibly stubborn. Once she set her mind on something, she found it difficult to change course, even when doing so would have been the wiser choice.

Her blunt honesty, while admirable, could also be a flaw. She was not always mindful of how her words affected others, and while she never intended harm, her straightforward nature sometimes came across as insensitive.

She also struggled with frustration when she encountered personal limitations. While she accepted that she couldn’t control everything, she found it difficult to accept failure—especially her own. For example, Wunnikaa’s inability to speak Galactic Basic was a source of frustration for her, especially in diplomatic situations where precise wording was crucial.

Wunnikaa had a habit of holding grudges. While she was generally forgiving of those who made honest mistakes, she was not quick to forget betrayals or intentional acts of cruelty. Once someone had lost her trust, it was almost impossible to regain it, making her view enemies and traitors with a level of cold disdain that contrasted with her otherwise warm and protective nature.

Wookiees require a minimum of 3,500-6,000 calories daily, so Wunnikaa usually ate a lot. She preferred meats with rich berry sauces.

Wunnikaa usually only drank alcohol with the Heliost Clan. She could drink excessively but not feel too many adverse effects unless she was drinking Accarrgm, which was the only thing that could get her drunk.
